If the cricket was immortal, then I think that some people would be more inclined to worship it in some ways. Mainly because, owing to it's benelovance and omniscent power, it now becomes something that cannot easily be destroyed. But still, on the other hand it's still only a cricket. I don't know about you, but personally, I would have a really hard time worshipping something that is about 1/100th of my size.
